no mods to the quad as far as engine is concerned. cleaned the throttle body it was a little dirty put some seafoam in the tank a topped up the fuel.
took it for a short ride yesterday seems good but need a longer ride to tell anything for sure. Get back to you when the weather warms enough...
some days the bike runs good then all of a sudden it will not idle and seems to run rich then like a switch can go back and forth from running perfect to crap. Some time seems to cange at the point of when I am pulling hard up hill or in the mud. Totally comfused. The TPS shows good, new fuel...
sorry for taking so long away working
I finally got a chance to go through things and found that the fuel injector has a screen in the top of it. The screen was dirty I cleaned the screen and everything seems to run great.
thanks for the help.
Put dielectric on everything last year and checked the valves about 600 km back. Don't seem to hear any noise that would indicate valves. Tried draining the fuel and putting new in case I got some bad gas but didn't seem to make a difference. Haven't had a chance to pull injector or anything...
throttle position sensor says it is centered and the fuel filter is actually brand new.
the only thing else I could think of was maybe a dirty injector
I have a 08 king I has now started back firing and seems to be low on power.
can,t find a problem the computer says everything is OK. changed plug and fuel pressure seems to be good.
anyone have any ideas
Does anyone know how to bypass the reverse override button?
That button drives me nuts when I am planted in the mud, the diff lock override doesn't bother me because I don't want to forget that on and break anything.
The shims you are looking for are made by Yamaha and are about 3 buck each.
1.5 mm part no. 90201-222F4
0.5 mm part no. 90201-222F0
Put the 1.5mm shim in my 750 king, Its great. Most effective, cheap mod you can do.
I found the rope nice to use but in my group we have had some problems. Some tends to almost rot a little and gets easy to break. When you get back from a ride simply free spool it out so it can dry, haven't had a problem since.
got the shims. Putting them in I found that the full 2mm brought the belt to high in the secondary so I went down to 1.5mm. Looks good now can't wait to see if it makes a difference.
Thanks for the help.
Drove all over, tractor dealers and anybody else I could think of with no luck.
I finally took the specs to my machinist friend told he would make me one. don't think he is even going to charge me.
Thanks for info guys
Thanks. That is what happened on the jack stand. What is different with the XPATV lift that solves the angle problem? Not sure I see how that can be avoided.
I returned the lift kit had to fight not to pay a restocking fee but that the stealer for ya.
I was installing a 2" high lifter kit on my 08' 750 king and the front cv does not seem to want to give the travel. I have installed thins kit on a RZR and on a Brute and they didn't seem to have problem. I am concerned this is beyond acceptable travel and going to cause damage. Has any one had...
bought a 750 king now have 750 miles on it. I ride with a group that has almost every thing for brands and they all seem impressed. I am very happy, zero problems, running 27" ITP tires 14" ITP rims KNN filter EPI clutch kit for 28" tires.
I have more than enough power once I installed the...
