i have an 04 chevy 1500 with the 4.8L v8 and want more power out of it should i do the sts turbo or super charge it?

i have a 06 a/c 650 H1 with a 700 stroker crank still with stock carb bew getting for larger motor,but when it gets belo zero it will not start and ideas about a way around the vacuume choke would help alot
