Same sled I have except mines a 154". Keep the e-start, It's not just for ease of starting on a flat level surface. I've had to start sleds with recoils when they were precariously perched on a 70 deg. + angle ( not fun ). I've had no issues with my e-start.
Still using my 06 151" RT ( bought it new in 07). It's at 4000km. minor work done to it including: primary and secondary clutching, 9 tooth drivers for the track, 07 mapping, ceramic coated exhaust system with HPS can. I'm using her for a spare sled. She pulls hard and surprises a lot of people...
I concure. That is what I use in my truck as well.
We use this grade of oil in our heavy equipment year round in Ft. Mac where an eng. rebuild in some of the equip. will cost you north of $250,000.00.
The equip. does not get shut down very often either because it cost too much to just be sitting.
The reason you plug a vehicle in (especially a diesel) is so that the initial cold start isn't so hard on them.
Quicker warm up, quicker oil lubrication (not the same thing as oil pressure). I don't realy give two hoots about creature comfort or worry about if it will start
at -30 ( It has and...
Just got back from Kakwa. Pulled a 28 ft. 5th. wheel in today, did not have to chain up at all. Road is the best I've seen in yrs.
Stetson creek hill is in very good condition. Lots more camps going in than there used to be.
Has anyone installed a C3 belt drive on there 2012/ 2013 summit yet?
I'm curious about the price and complexity of the install.
And most importantly how is it working out on the etec?
Thanks in advance

I've been running Blizzak 965's for the last 6 yrs. they are a 10 ply, non studded winter tire designed for heavy ( 1 ton diesel ) commercial trucks.
Friggin awseome tire.
I'm at Albian MRM site. I bought a new summit x 800 e-tec 154". I've only got 130 kms. on it so far but I'm very impressed.I think it will easily out climb my 1000.
I've not got much ridding in this year snow came late, and it always seems It can't find the time. I'm going out with Todd Harbor...
Steve is there any snow in the SW? I need to break in my new summit X. The road in to Kakwa is extremly hazadous due to ice.
Tumbler has had rain for the last two days.

I have a 2006 151 summit highmark.Forget the negative hype on these sleds and just enjoy it. Yes you do need to tune the sled for below 1000 ft. Iv'e had mine since new and have really enjoyed this sled "ZERO" breakdowns and it pulls hard. I've geared mine down using 9 tooth drivers and...
