Yeah that shoe repair epoxy worked well to keep the bottom of my boot together last season. Trying to figure out how out a better solution to these running boards. May just start rounding the sharp edges and get them powder coated.
Has anyone done anything to the cheese grinder running boards on the Axys? I chewed to a paired of klim boas last year and recently bought a pair of Tobe this season but the sole is much softer than the klims so I’d imagine those will get chewed quickly. I tried the skins running boards in the...
2017 axys 174
I just discovered that one of the kill switch wire broke inside the kill switch. The sled starts with the kill switch being disconnected. Will the sled have issues if it’s ran without a kill switch the remainder of our trip? I have a tether and ignition key to turn it off. I know...
I recently purchased a 2017 axys with 500 miles and the other guy used Torco oil in the sled. He said it was a better oil than the VES Gold however I’m not sure I agree. Is there a specific way to switch back to VES if the reservoir is full of torco? Is it as simple as letting the oil get low...
Hey guys, after 4 season on my 2015 pro 155 I decided to get into an axys 174.
my 15 pro had Kurt’s Polaris clutching and was always spot on pulling 8350rpm with the stock belt drive system and a 3” track. I just installed SLP can and pipe on the axys and was looking at clutching options. Anyone...
I posted in another thread what INDY DAN had posted on Snowest recently and he suggested if you don't have a problem with the sled and compression is good do NOT touch the top end. It's worth a read.
I've also used the PAR tunnel stiffners. Work really well however you need more then 50 rivets if I remember correctly. There's a guy on kijji who sells full tunnel stiffners with a cutout for the vin. Very well priced and also sells the tunnel/bulkhead braces like VA. Ships out of Ontario.
If you haven't booked grizzly lodge I'm willing to bet they won't have accommodation available for that time of year. Every year we book the entire lodge for a week at the beginning of march and struggle to get every in a year in advance.
For those of you who aren't snowest subscribers here's the post:
I know since 2008 the Polairs 800 Small block has cause a flurry of this question...............
When should I replace my Pistons or top end ?
And if I do who's Pistons should I use ?
Indy Specialties advice is as follows.

Thanks Jorgy. I've been running both Kurt's polaris clutch and gear down kits on the sled since the build 2 years ago with the addition of the delrin washer. Only thing left stock is the motor at this point.
I did a track swap on my 2015, 155 pro last week to a 156x3 X3 and it seems like the track is still a little loose with only roughly 3/8" left on the adjustment bolt to tighten the track. I'd imagine it's going to stretch some as well. I read back 65+ pages and didn't really see anyone doing...
I had a 2011 pro with 3300 miles with stock pistons. Same with my 14 pro and now a 15 pro with 1000 miles. Indy Dan recently posted a thread on snowest stating that if your sled runs good don't touch the engine. It's a good read.
