Mines a 16 straight wall and 4 v nose by 8.5 wide. 3 fit easily and I get 4 in with backing one in. Just put the tunnels to the center.

    Revelstoke riding area updates 2019/2020

Parking at Boulder was at 3km. Anywhere around the Kirkup split. Some guys went farther up and some rode from the bottom. I think the bottom snow has melted though.

    Revelstoke riding area updates 2019/2020

When we came down Boulder yesterday the groomer had come up Kirkup and was punching the trail past the cabin to the top. Probed about 130cm in the alpine.

    GPS in red deer

Have used all of the above for several years. The spot device is useful for letting other know where you are. But no two way communication. The Garmin radios are good in the field as walkie/talkies and have a good range but the screens are small and hard to locate lost people. The newest in...

    Snowmobile insurance in BC

Mine is an add on but it can't be too expensive on its own either. Bottom line is get some liability insurance. We've seen the problems it causes if you don't. And then stick around to solve the problem. It's not that expensive to stay legal. A bumper or trail fee. OMG not an engine!

    Snowmobile insurance in BC

The cost of third party liability -" legal liability or bodily injury to or death of any person or damage to property (exclusive of costs and post judgement interest)" from my Wawanesa policy, for a $2 000 000.00 limit is $25. Just get this type of insurance and be covered.

    Mid week riders?

I'm typically a 20 to 30 day a year guy. Looking to improve the numbers. Could be available for some mid week rides this year.

    Heated goggles

With the Infernos you push a button for a heat cycle when they fog. There's a buzzing sound to let you know it started. The heat cycle lasts for about 3 minutes and clears the lenses. The battery is supposed to last 30 cycles but I've never used it that many times in the day. The most I've used...

    Heated goggles

I have the Oakley Prism Rose infernos. As above activate the lenses about a minute or two before you ride and you'll be clear. Love the color and definition. They're expensive so I'm trying not to damage the lenses but being able to see is important.

It's also important to continuously do the updates. I once got the message a day later. I was a few updates behind.

Oakley Prizm or Smith Chromapop technology

I've got line miner infernos. Best goggle I've owned for low light days. Bit pricey but IMO worth it.

    Pictures of cool survival gear.

I keep a small set of double pulleys and rope. Two guys can pull a sled back uphill with it. I also carry a drybag with overnight and safety gear which fits on my rack. Haven't used it myself yet but have been able to help several other people so far. Radios, food, in reach, first aid, snow...

I did notice that they were gone. I assumed that the lighter metal melted in the fire.

    2016/17 Revelstoke Conditions

We stopped to look at the sled too after the fire was out. The owner came by as we were there with the story. It was an uninsured 06 Rev that had been sitting outside for about 5 years. They brought it out to the mountains and it had a fuel leak that lit it up. He had found a sled to drag it out...
