Every kid is different, but here is my experience with my little guy; we purchased a ZR 120 for him at 3 years old. He crashed it once and was done for the season. He wasn't hurt at all, but he was scared of it. Now he's 4 and he rides the thing pretty hard. He isn't smitten with it like I...
I just wanted to give a "shout out" to B&M Fabrications. I ordered my boards during Haydays, so delivery took a while due to the high volume they did at the show. However, the product looks really nice and installation was a breeze. Once I got over the fear of cutting into my stock boards...
Head east of Sherwood Park and you can come ride on my lake. Not MY lake, but the lake by my house. It isn't exciting, but it allows you to stretch your legs and put a few kms on the sled. Let's wait for it to freeze up first though. (don't ask how I know that lol).
If you guys are heading...
I had an '03 6.0 F-350 and I've been scared of Ford diesels ever since. lol The new ones are intriguing though. My neighbour has a 2012 and absolutely loves it. I've been considering getting rid of my beloved '06 Cummins 3500 but I'd hate to get rid of a good reliable truck for something...
Unfortunately, we don't live in a mecca for snowmobiling. The 'local' place I've ridden is Whitecourt. The trail system is great for riding with your kids but I haven't found any really good snow up there. I've heard there is some deeper stuff around Swan Hills but I've never been there...
If you are looking for new running boards, I just ordered a set of powdercoated B&M boards and got Haydays pricing. I'm not sure if they are still running that pricing as the event is over but you could give them a call. I'm sure you could get someone to install the boards for you locally. If...
My neighbour has the Mountain Addiction setup. Its a super solid set up although once the gas cans are in there, it's nearly impossible to get them out. At least they won't fall out haha.
The trouble (at least for me) is finding a decent 10 ply AT tire in a 35" that handles well and lasts longer than 40k. I've heard the Toyo MT lasts longer but its terrible in snow and ice. Typical for a mud tire.
I've run the Toyo A/T's for years already. The first two sets were 285/75/17's. I got 40,000kms out of each set. I now have the Extreme 35's and they are wearing quickly as well. Rotated every 5,000kms and no burnouts. I really like how these tires handle in summer, winter and rain and can...
I have the Polaris gas can rack for my '12 RMK Pro. The problem is the buckles have broken twice and my gas can has gone flying off. Does anybody have a better system for strapping the can to the Polaris rack? Some kind of strapping system? I swore I saw one the other day that strapped...
Yup. My neighbour has one. He bought it without knowing it didn't have the recoil. No problems as yet with his Doo, but I like the security of having the recoil in addition to the e-start. If I had to choose between the two, it would be recoil without a doubt.
Where I come from, ditch bangers don't look like these sleds. These are really nice sleds to be honest. My ditch banger is a '98 Ski Doo Formula SL 121 track with 3/4" lugs. It makes riding in anything deeper than a foot of snow very interesting. Momentum is your friend with that sled.
No...
Yet another "looks awesome" post. If I had the money for a new sled this year, that's the one I would have chosen Same track too. I love those Freerides.
