I don't think the VW TDI has chitty wiring --- I have 241,000 miles on mine and it still runs fine, wiring and all. By the way, it still gets 50+ mpg. I did have a car starter installed on my wife's $70,000 Lexus and it screwed that car up until I had it removed. I think it is the chitty car...
