As far as the new engine rumours go, I have heard that there is a new engine coming for 2018 from a few reputable cat dealers. Not sure on displacement, but have heard somewhere between that 850-875cc range. Same proclimb chassis though. Wouldn't mind seeing better running boards and some weight...
Coming off an XM I have to say that cat has the most underrated sled on the market. There chassis is solid and real easy to ride and find a balance point, the suspension is great and that 800 Suzuki motor pulls for days! Even without direct injection the m8000's have a solid power plant that's...
Freeride is still in the xm chassis and the summit gets an upgrade. Hopefully the summit 154 is in the new chassis as well. Still early but only seeing the new chassis with the 165 (technically we're not supposed to see that either) lol. I know doo did this in 2013 as well, where the freeride...
Really like how polaris brought the 3" track to the Assault. Wish Doo had the t3 in the freeride. I like to jump/drop but when playing in the trees the 3" would be ideal.. Decisions, decisions!

Yeah I think something's messed up on their site.. Says under the sled specs that the assault comes with the h.o. But when you build it it says clean fire 800 only.
Why the need for big changes?? Doo has a sled that's easy to ride and has the best motor in the 800 class... Polaris has a lot to prove as they haven't had a solid 800 motor for years in their mountain sleds. I don't think the pro is a solid chassis either as they've had issues with...
My left side won't stay in as well. Could be wrong but I'm sure I read somewhere that you can adjust the middle plastic piece around the gas cap and that's also a fix.. Any more info on that?
Jealous! Can't get away to the hills till next week. After your first ride did your XM have a weird smell after you shut it off? Have 8 km's on mine and noticed after I shut it off that the stock muffler was really hot and smoking after..
