    Clutch help

I used to put RED thread lock on them when putting new weights in. Set screws would come loose and the weight would start to move side to side. NOT good for the rollers! So now I use green locktite similar to factory, the key is to put the goop into the hole on the weight. Some will squish out...

SLP stage 2 or Speedwerx stage 2

I am running the Speedwerx stage 2 from Echo Cycle. Running stock clutching, works just great! Also running Echos mapping. Sled is snappy and loves to pull wheelies! Great at all elevations. Would recommend it for sure. Just be careful when rolling the sled. I melted the hood a little so put...

2016 m8000, Speedwerx adjustable pipe w\ L2 can and reeds.

Had the sled out in Valemont on dec 27. Ran perfect. Stock Team clutches were spot on at 8200RPM. Also the fuel mapping and throttle response is incredible!! Worked flawless, except for the snow coming in through the upper side panel holes..... Frog skins on order. lol

2016 m8000, Speedwerx adjustable pipe w\ L2 can and reeds.

Right on thanks!!! Agree on 1 thing at a time. I played with clutching on my ol 2010 m8 and ended up putting it back to stock only using Dalton weights. I did not know their was such a thing of 'early build' unitill i googled it. Bought mine at the end of the season last year in march, it was...

I just installed basically a stage 2 Speedwerx kit from Echo. Did the Adj pipe and L2 can, Boysen reeds and PC5. It sounds awesome in the garage!!!!!! Still have some clutching to finish it off. Echo says to start with Dalton adjustable weights in the primary, has anyone used this saimilar...

    2016 m8000 153 limited first ride!

Just wanted to share my first impressions with this sled. I felt very comfortable right from the get go, rode Blue River for break in. This sled absolutely rocks!! I pulled some lines that were rediculous for me anyways...the pro with the 2.25" track was wanting a 3" for sure. It sidehills...

    2016 m8000 suspension setup

The new ski should be great,it has a deep keel. check the toe setting for sure. Check / add air pressure to the front shocks for stability, the snow pro stock setting is 60, limited is 90 psi with no load on them.. Increase pressure will increase stability. Wide ski setting changes the stability...

    Clutch rattle?

I just got a 16 limited m8000. riding it around the yard for breakin, yes there is a noise. Right from brand new. Investigated to come to the conclusion it is the PRIMARY clutch making the noise. This is similar to the Skidoo TRA famous whizzing sound but the new TEAM primary makes a noise that...

    Flooding?? hard starting.

are the plugs wet after pulling it it over till your tired? I would squirt some fresh gas into the plug holes, then see if It will fire. I know my 10 m8 never fouls plugs, even if the plugs are dark in color. This is because they run 2 plugs per cylinder, lots of ignition power. If it fires then...

    2010 M8 Primary Spring

i played with a couple springs, found the stock yellow white to be the most consistant. just put a new primary on and it has smooth engagement. i was chasing worn rollers in the primary! that dalton spring sounds good, might try it. oh also i tried a shift assist but lost rpm, so went back to...

    2010 M8 crapped out

Ya heard of the reeds breaking but have never seen that bad! lol good to know. i changed mine to boysen rage cages around 3000km. Stockers still look ok, tiny chip at the ends of the reeds. the stocker reeds are a bit pricey so i put the dough towards the rage cages. Runs goooooood.

    2010 M8 crapped out

no no, reeds aren't that bad, if you have a decent place to work on it. remove hood-5min, remove air box-5min, then squish and ram air boot out of the bulkhead-2min, remove heat shield from oil tank. all that's left is the throttle bodies then reed cages. worst part is the small coolant hoses...

    2010 m8 primary clutch

Clutches wont swap i dont think, could be wrong. the 09 and older are standard threads on the clutch and crank, 800 HO went to metric hardware and clutch and crank and puller.

    2010 m8 primary clutch

My set screws were coming loose on me. Found that Cat says use a green loctite, i will have to look up the actual loctite number. Also i did find that you have to apply the loctite to the hole in the weight, not the set screw itself. seems to squish the loctite out when putting it on the...

    Bogging issues

I had similar issue riding this past sunday, ran great for half an hour but then once in a while i would pinn it and blaaaa, falls on its face. release throttle and try again and voala! it rips!. mine was not a powder bog, had that in the mountains in 4ft of fresh though. I think the issue is...

    Looking for reed advice...

Boysen work great, but they are 3/16" longer then stock. have to trim the air box tube to allow for room. If your willing to spend the dough they are worth it. Plus later if you add pipes or big bore they will work even better. I have boysen reeds, slp intake, speedwerx muffler, ceramic coated...

    CFR BAR install Questions

Yaaa I just installed Canada Sled Parts Post/Wildchild. T Top Post just above the cowl. Reused the stock bars with 5' RSI Risers. I will get fly risers next time, not a huge fan of the rsi pinch bolt. seems to be a great setup, was able to pivot the bars forward and inch or two and no slop...
