Re: Big Iron Slide @ Turbo March 13,2010
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved and their families! This is just devasting to hear about. If there is anything that we can do besides pray please let us know!!!
I know of a guy down by Red Deer that has a "wreckers" for sleds and bikes and the like. Message me if you are interested in the number. Glad you are ok. Get some rest and let your body heal, then fix that beast up and head right back out there :)
Hey everyone,
For my marketing class I had to come up idea and market it. One of the things I have to do is a survey testing the waters if people would be interested in this product.
My idea was mod kits that come with everything you need to fully mod your sled without buying everything...
Why do you guys take your Polaris sleds? I live in Bowden, AB ( so in between Calgary and Edmonton). And it is NOT going into the Polaris dealer in Red Deer.
Thanks
Ya i know what you mean. I know they are out there. But WHERE lol. I don't ride the hardest, getting better and better though. I just dont like that since its lady driven its assumed its been pampered.
Thats awesome. We (me and the boyfriend) usually ride Revy Golden or Sicamous. We are hoping to try out some more places this year though. We also tend to go around December 26th until the start of Jan.
Just wondering how many lady riders are out there? I get tired of feeling like I'm the only one, and I know there are more out there!! Also get tired of reading "lady driven" on sleds that are for sale, what the heck does "lady driven" mean! Also want to put a shout out to overkillsgirlfriend...
For those of you in the central alberta area, Bass Pro Shops at CrossIron Mills Mall near Calgary has the spot 2. It is 159.99 but then you also have to subscribe to it (for the service of using it) which is 99.99 a year.
I saw a few good deals, but ya, main thing i was looking for was skis and didnt really see many skis at all, not like last year, and the skis i did see weren't even that good of a deal. It was an awesome time tho to just mingle and chat with people.
Hey we are heading up to the sled show tomorrow morning. Do you guys think that there will still be some awesome deals? Has anyone saw any good deals on skis?
Hahaha I will try telling that excuse to the boyfriend...now if he doesn't like it I will send him to you. But at 110 lbs i cant really afford to lose any, so I like the idea of gaining some :)
I was just wondering, if you guys did the custom paint job on the sled that is in your "show" room, I think it is a rev chassis with a Nytro body...but I might be wrong and may have just made an idiot of myself.
Thanks for the ideas so far. At the moment I dont have very much spare cash, so right now I am looking for cheap ways to lighten it, next year I'm looking at spending a bit more on it. I also plan on stretching the track next year, probably to a 159. And ya it is mostly only mountain riding
Ok, have you ever watched a sled movie or left the flats to go to the mountains and REALLY ride. Cause if you have you would see that many of the "pros" out there are on Turbo Yammys. And I have been out there, and guess what... its usually the yamaha pulling every single other type of sled out...
I'm just looking for some opinions. I want to redo the hood on my sled(the paint is scratched and has some cracks). Should i just re-paint it and put some graphics/decals on it? I had heard some good things about getting it dipped. What are your ideas on this?
