My father inlaw had the same issue on his 500ho. Apparently there are two temp sensors and it was the one you can't see that was giving the problem. I believe it's in or around the rad somewhere. The one on the engine that was fairly easy to access wasn't the problem.

I use Death Wobble Rentals in Leduc. Their prices are very fair and they take the time to go over everything with you and show you what they've done and if you have time what they're doing.

mine used to do this in reverse. Turned out to be just a bunch of mud and dirt caked up on the shift linkage. Cleaned it up no issues since.

Depends where you live. I know back home in Newfoundland is is illegal to ride with a passenger and the penalties are hefty for doing so. I would check with local authorities. Here in Alberta there's no law against it, but that doesn't mean it's fine in Manitoba, better to check and be sure.

I would think you should be fine, might be the odd tight spot but for the most part I remember the trails to be fairly open.
