    2023 Yamaha mountain

Curiousity, why would you post about a 2stroke set up when this is aimed at a 4stroke sled. Your correct though, you would not set up a lighter 2stroke that way. Try not to mix the two up, they are different and most 2stroke guys fail at setting up a much heavier 4stroke, from clutching to...

Most people do not tune their suspension, they are gung-ho about pipes, cans and clutches but have no clue about their suspension. If anything, atleast setup the suspension for your weight, the center spring on all OEM sleds are for 175-200lb riders, meaning if you don't, your leaving alot on...

I have both, rails and spindles. I'm currently working with a modified front control skid arm, I lengthen it. It has been in the sled for about 1500kms now. Been working with shocks to get it to work to my satisfaction, saw great improvements but there is room for more. I have ordered another...

    2023 Yamaha mountain

I have played with it a fair bit in getting it proper for the SW, I'm running one in mine and we are still dicking with it. Its not what they claim for a SW, imo the R&D is poor for the SW. In a lighter 2stroke like it was originally intended to be used it work's very well, not so on a Winder...

    2023 Yamaha mountain

Absolutely it does, suspension is key to power delivery and transfer. Power needs to be matched to suspension for proper composure. Without that it is just an unmanageable snowblower.

Hold out and see. If nothing, build your own, you have the skill and know how to doit. In any case your custom builds are superior to anything any of the factory will ever offer. It is impossible to have a sled master all terrain, every sled has weaknesses no matter the model or brand. The idea...

I have been hinted to since last winter that there is something new from Cat for 23, from an internal source at Cat. So, not that I'm in the know cause I'm not but that is the rumored smolder from the Cat camp. If this is true then I would think this is going to be the case with Yamaha, their...

Let the Predictions start, What's in for 2023??

I'm pretty tight with all the dealers in Kelowna with 30+year relationship and even work relation with some over the years. Like I said, though a rumor Cat supposedly has something for 2023, Chassis wise. This was info. given to me by a Cat rep. in the R&D last winter. If I was in the market for...

Let the Predictions start, What's in for 2023??

OMG, snow checks, what was that? They didn't exist, you got what they had on the floor or nothing. Watch who you consider young-uns. Hell 90% of S&M members have no clue what real winters were like and what deep snow is, that stopped 30+yrs ago, way before this forum was even thought up. This...

Let the Predictions start, What's in for 2023??

Mid January I had 2 turbo Doo's compliment of my buddy Derek at Banner over a two day span, I put put them to good use. We had them out at Eagles and Boulder with an Alpha turbo. The Ctech was most impressive, it ended up being what we were trying to matchup too. That sled is an absolute blast...

Let the Predictions start, What's in for 2023??

I was agreeing with you. Other then the 2023, I have spent time on the newer boost. A BB is a no brainer when your tree humping and saving weight. Going to miss your company in the land Vale soon Danny, I still have a spot.

Let the Predictions start, What's in for 2023??

Dan your a tech tree rider much more so then I, its not my style. BB are proven low and mid is superior to a boost setup, no matter what. If Polaris pulls out a BB for 2023 they will own technical tree riding while still having a boost model for those in the backcountry. Technical tree riding...

    2023 Yamaha mountain

Cat has had the worst boards on their sleds for years now, I don't even consider them as a functional part of the sled. Though after saying that I have replaced boards on Doo product as new as 2019, with broken boards from cheap material used by BRP. In fact today and yesterday I have been...

Let the Predictions start, What's in for 2023??

One thing I don't do, is agree with most of Burandt ideas of sleds, but I 100% agree with that statement he made above ^^^^ Anyone who has experience low boost or any boost sooner or later realizes N/A is better suited for the masses, ESPECIALLY with the current tree riding trend out there. N/A...

BRP has stepped away from their core values and believe in all their lines when it comes to what your saying. I love their outboards, have you ever try to buy one? You can buy a Yamaha and pay for a fishing trip with the left over money.

That is more of a personal opinion. The Ski-Doo release makes them now the most expensive mountain ENTRY level snowmobile on the planet. Yes I say ENTRY, the reason new riders flock to the brand, that is ok and most become so compliant with the brand because its just that easy to play with...
