I have a lot thats sitting in dry soil too. I hope this forecast is right but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Cutting hay already….?!?!
That’s impressive…. I’ve only cut my lawn once. You must have had water on it for awhile already?
It’s under irrigation. Put on 3” so far. It’s definitely early this year. at least a week ahead of “normal”. And now there’s rain in the forecast. 1st cut is always hit and miss.

I went to the Willow Creek landfill on Monday, Monarch, east of Lethbridge, and then back thru Lethbridge, to Macleod. From what I could see all the fields that are planted in the vicinity look nice and green. Been pretty fortunate down here with getting a little rain every week

I’m a few miles out of monarch. We’ve had 3mm of rain since the snow melted. Irrigation looks ok but the crop is small still and will be needing lots of water soon. They also throttled the irrigation canal flow from 20 cubic meters per second down to 10 cms. Rain has been very spotty this year. Grasshoppers are getting bad as well.

So far hoppers haven’t bothered us but they are in the area. Few people saying they have already eaten down their gardens

That’s crazy!! Pretty much every field west of Monarch is green. Anything within 3 miles of Macleod is lush green. It started raining here about 3am, nothing heavy, but still a good soaking. I don’t know how Far East this system went?

Definitely not anywhere near my rain gauges ha ha. We got a light mist today that wasn't even dust control for 5 minutes.

Rained over a inch a mile away we got about 7 drops crazy how spotty tbese showers have been

Definitely spotty down here too. Dad is 3 miles ne as crow flies. He has half inch more rain than me. Go west of me 1 mile and over 1” less rain than I have. Isolated downpours last few days. Rosetown has gotten 2 - 1-1.5” downpours zelandia had 4” quick. I’ll stick to these 2/10 3/10 showers

Yeah was watching the radar down that way figured the brother inlaw was getting all the rain and he missed it for the most part... same story as yourself, some guys got the rains and some didn't.

But did get an inch and 2 tenths yesterday so he was stoked and went fissin for the weekend.

He's about 10 miles north of D'Arcy

We got about 1 1/4 in an hour the other night in the Prince Albert area.
