Kanedog’s BC rain guage!

I got tired of emptying my rain guage daily during this deluge of rain.
I have invented the “rain barrel guage.” I’ll only have to empty it every couple weeks.
1st pic is Sunday night.
2nd pic is Tuesday night.
Time to empty the rain barrel guage.
She wet in BC!

2.75” rain in 24hrs. It’s drying up a bit! Haha

The gods forgot to give you the rain in the summer, it was back ordered then piled up, so they decided do a few heavy dumps to get rid of the back log. Should be all good soon. Further west, bring on the snow to them mountains, Peeps be careful this weekend, the remnants of this is hitting them mountains.

No update yet on how gauge is working

Haha, I emptied the overflowing mofo and of course, it stops raining. If the guage is inch for inch of rain, we got 3.5 feet of rain so far this year. Maybe someone can post if a barrel is actually inch for inch for accuracy.

The guage is now empty and ready to accept rain! Remind me throughout the winter and I’ll post pics of how much rain we get up in this BC bisch.
