Hmm funny how Ontario and Quebec want a 68 year old damaged crude line that traverses the Great Lakes to continue flowing, yet Alberta can't run a new pipeline thru their province's. I hope Biden shuts it down, he's an environmentalist isn't he? Maybe Energy East Pipeline wasn't such a bad idea after all.

now i wonder what kinds of problems, 2000 tanker trucks, and 800 rail cars a day might produce? the enviro freaks are out of there friggin minds!

which provinces are you concerned about?
that would shut down 1/2 of Ontario for sure and not sure how big things are in Quebec. The ripple effect will have the same consequences as it did in Ontario when oil when for a ch!t. Not to mention the ripple effect on the other side of the border

You haven't looked at the oil price lately Zrock. Alberta's on her way to the top right now. Ensign Drilling stock has tripled in less than a year. Better pick you self up some. Better yet come on over a get a job in the patch great pay and low taxes. The Alberta advantage is back.

Their is only one port in Sarnia for loading ships with oil. So by the time they retrofit the rest of the refinery's your looking at an year or 2. Not to mention they could not handle the volume of ships needed to move all that oil.

LOL for how long.. Had the opportunity the first boom to come over and basically do nothing and have my own crew for stupid money... But turned it down.... How many people lost everything the last time around...

unfortunately shutting down line 5 could long term be a good thing, retard politicians in the east might then realize a trans Canada pipeline is a good thing.
Sure, and if they now decided to go ahead with an Energy east pipeline and corridor this would take at least 10 years to construct by the way the construction is going on the Trans Mountain, they better get on it.

I remember when oil hit $50/barrel in the early 2000's. Fireworks were going off and people were dancing in the streets. Back then the major driver was the fallout of 9/11. Yes oil is in the mid 70's, but there is no party in the streets. Calgary, red deer, Nisku and GP are still very slow. Empty buildings, empty offices, empty shops. Pipelines are full, refineries are at capacity. Because of our own technology like fracing we have turned 10 wells in to 1. What used to take 90 days to drill a well is now done in 15 to 20. I honestly do think we will see $100/barrel oil somewhere around the new year but the oil patch will have a very different face to it. To the fellow bragging about clearing $250k this year, remember it's not worth what 125k was in the last boom.

If things are returning to normal in Alberta why are over 50% of the license plates in BC Alberta workers?
