My 2012 Polaris 570 RZR was stolen and recovered by RCMP near Saddle Lake. I went and picked it up and the wiring has been pulled apart from the ignition. The fuses and all relays were also pulled apart. Otherwise the machine doesn’t look too bad. Trying to decide whether I should go through insurance or just try to get it going myself and see if it runs but I don’t want to waste a bunch of cash.

call insurance, find out what they cover and deductible, then take and get a damage repair estimate, likely more damage than just ignition, motor, trans, front diff, frame etc.

This also depends if this unit has been insured under your vehicle policy or totally separate. If on your vehicle policy a claim will affect your rates for all the vehicles on that policy. If it’s $1000 damage I would fix it yourself

Polaris RZR Stolen & Recovered...

Doesn’t really make any sense to me either. Looks like the ignition wires were cut to Hotwire it. Not really sure why all the fuses were pulled, maybe just to piss a guy off. There were a couple wires in the fuse box as shown by the orange rubber seals in the pic. I have no idea what was here. I was thinking about getting some pics of another 570 and just matching the fuse box, reconnecting the ignition wires and trying it.

may be able to find a shop manual on internet you can download $10-$15, likely would be a big help. not sure how you feel about splicing wires, (future fail point), maybe a new wire harness etc.

looks like a total f u move, likely dealing with low IQ people.
