Hey everyone. I have a 2011 turbo pro that I have been chasing the devil through.... This sled idles and runs up to 6000-6200 rpm and falls on its face(bogs). I've changed or swapped almost but the fuel pump or the motor.
Small run down for you....
The top end was done less than 500 kms ago, compression is good. Reeds were done at that time(vforce). Boondocker fuel controller has been refurbished and function tested with the EBC by Boondocker. TSS has been bypassed(temperately). TPS is within spec with no dead spots. Pipe exhaust sensor has been changed. No check engine light or codes. Clutches are in good shape. The sled acts this way on the stand or in the field. Runs the same with or without the fuel controller plugged in... This sled runs on straight AvGas and has from new...

This appeared overnight...

If I were to check the fuel pump for a ohms reading what would be considered in spec? I don't have a fuel pressure tester, so that's not a option at the moment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I assume you have changed the fuel filter?

Maybe the pickup in the tank?

Many are converting to the axys pickup (with screen) in tank and getting rid of the filter.

That rpm is when your exhaust valves should be opening. Possibly an issue with them?

I've cleaned them(wasn't dirty anyways), swapped them from another machine. I've swapped the solenoid for those and madw sure the vent line is clear. No change

The sled doesn't build boost and occasionally one cylinder will go cold until you back off the throttle and get the rpm below 6k. Its messed up!

What turbo kit? Does it have an electric oil pump tied into the harness?

Yes it has the oil pump for the turbo tied (plugged) into the harness over beside the primary clutch.
Not sure the exact kit. It's a intercooled Boondocker setup with the EBC separate from the fuel controller.

Pretty sure that is your problem. The electrical system was never designed to handle more load. Many get away with it but many have had nothing but issues.

Try putting in a seperate battery and run the pump off that for a short ride.

Mountainhorse had some really good posts about this a few years ago.

Edit* i think mountainhorse is on snowest only, i will see if i can find it.

Maybe the oil pump is worn out and now drawing too much power? Its possible I guess... It's been a flawless machine since new. Put almost 4000 kms of the original top end and only changed it because I was getting nervous lol
