Good for you. I had a 2002 500 h.o. Sportsman and it treated me very well. Didn't have to spend a dime on it other then regular maintenance and wear and tear. Believe me we did hard riding, really putting the machines to the test and it stood up to anything thrown at it. The best/quickest...
Don't know what's wrong with the bike. Started it today, it ran for half a minute and quit. Turned over but would start. Main fuse blew (30amp).Changed it and nothing. Stone dead. No power anywhere. Not even to the display panel. There is power to the main fuse. Any ideas what may have happened...
Grease all the electrical connections under the seat and make sure you don't forget to wash under the seat thoroughly after each use if playing in the mud. Mud gets trapped in there and connections erode.
A group of us (5-7 units) are heading out for July long west of Caroline. None of us have been in that area before so any advice on camping and quadding areas would be greatly appreciated. How is the quadding in that area?
Thanks,
Al
I think on the reliability side you can't beat a Honda. I also think as a quad 4x4in in the mud they all out perform a Honda. Wouldn't buy one for that reason.
If you look at the posts regarding the Medicinr Lake rally it looks like Yami drivers had their fair share of problems or maybe they are the only ones posting the breakdowns they had,. This was a really tough ride and hard on the machines mind you. I was surprised how many Kawis there were on...
How new is it. New Kawis are set up to act "retarded" after so many hours/miles to make sure they are taken in for their first service. But, any dealer would realize this.
Ardypol, you described what it attempts to do perfectly. It must have a partially blocked orifice. Is this something I can or should attempt myself or should I take it in to have done?
Thanks again,
Al
