Yep. Brake side driveshaft bearing was also seized up but surprisingly didn’t eat into the shaft at all. I guess it’s a good thing all this is coming apart now! Lol, although I should have started 2 months earlier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks, I have that alignment tool and went through all the stub shaft BS also. Clutch setup works good, just having a brain fart on whether belt is too tight or too loose. The 8DN is longer than the JP, but yes now I have it in the shop I need to loosen like 06yamahaapex said. I’d like to try...

I swapped in a 2.6 powerclaw in a 2011 M8 back in the day. Mind you it was a 162, but sled was all stock with some Bikeman clutching, and it worked really good. Best sled I have ever had actually. Didnt have to change drivers, but IIRC, a 3" wouldnt fit.

Got 7000km out of my OEM 162 Powerclaw on my 18 Sidewinder. What track have guys used that hold up well? Am going to stay with 162. Also need to replace the drivers so a pitch change is possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sidewinder primary has the weights and rollers further away from crank. I have to run 6g more in my Daltons when I switch to the older clutch. The sheaves are also cut to allow higher belt speeds than engine speed, which is hard on belts. Castings are also different(looks weaker) around the...

Do you know what Center to Center spec is? I have a service manual and I don’t think it says in there. Parallelism was something I’m going to check here as well, but I also looked and don’t really see a way to adjust that if needed.

I put 700km on an apex primary last year with no roller failure then the clutch spider glide pieces failed and I destroyed the whole clutch. I’m not sure why it failed, I suspect heat. Ok. I’m going to build a straight pipe in the next couple nights and try it out. My sled kills primary roller bushings in under 200km. The apex primary and button secondary together will be a new combo for me next ride, but I’m at the point that maybe my clutch issues is a resonance thing. Lol...
