Hey guys I was wondering if there are any quadding areas around Powder King. Would anyone know of a sanctioned riding area in the Chetwynd locale? I know of some sledding spots but not sure where you could quad without getting under someones skin. Links to maps etc. would be appreciated.
I agree. Too often now it seems people have to put up with nonsense because everyone feels that they must be heard as it is their right; noise is like smoke, it's hard to confine. Ive spent 28 years in the patch and I can spit it out too, but knuckle heads you gotta cork it in public.
Exactly! In fall of '05 at the Renshaw I remember letting a guy in our group take a rip on my new '06 Summit and when he came back down all he said was "Man... that thing can take you places that you don't want to go!"
Hey shifty you mentioned guiding sled; do you guide sledders around the Renshaw and if you do, what would a day cost a guy. I been there once but only around the cabin and would really like to get to know the area better.
Thanks Overkill 19 & Slamnek. That's great to know about the VFORCE 3s but as far as the cluthes go Iv'e done a lot of reading but experience is best. Most guys I ride with never touch there clutches. I did watch DJs' clutch cleaning vid and it's clear to me that I have to buy some clutch tools...
Those big cc units can toast a belt pretty fast. I "try" not to pull too hard accelerating or decelerating for 30km or so and they'll easily last 1500km. The manufacturer says to run them 50km.
It makes sense to me. I have always warmed up engines properly and then broke them in(sleds and bikes) just like I normally ride, except staying under redline. I have never had engine failure issues. I remember my dad and older brother telling me back in the late 70's..."break it in like you...
You can inject alcohol, they'll slide right off. It works even better for putting grips on because the alcohol dries quickly and doesn't freeze so your grips will seat properly.
