Linderman makes a motor mount kit that I ran on my 1200. That combined with changing all the stock mounts to the solid 60duro cat mounts and I never had a problem with belts and my bulkhead held up well. All that with my 265lb frame, 174" track and NOS, I was pretty happy with it.

I had an 09 M1200 with the 174X2.5, I ran 55/65 gearing and a STM 11" secondary. Had lots of bottom end and belts were never a problem. Still had more than enough track speed and all in all the sled was a beast! Putting a 174X2.5 on my M8 turbo right now and doing pretty much the exact same thing.

Brent ported my 09 1000 this year and re-domed the head, nothing but smiles from me. It works awesome and I havent found a downside yet, do it, you will love it!
