Nice climb Meg! wish I had the power and opportunity to climb stuff like that! Sounds like everyone had a good time and looks like great weather! hope to make one more weekend out that way this year at least! Did anyone see this one in person? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cta-BS8NkPY&sns=fb

    Tires, again.

Not a big fan of the Terra Grappler after having them on my 08 GM 1/2 ton, found they would flat spot especially in the cold which made you over air them compared to other tires causing a ****ty ride or driving on rumble strips for the first few k's. Sperated the sidewall from the tread on one...

Looking for a dirt bike for wifey.

TTR is a good putt putt bike or slow trail rides, anything liquid cooled and motocross frame will have a much more serious suspension which will make for a nice ride (not to mention safer when it's not trying to toss her) as well as have power for later when she's more confident. 85 would be too...

    Dogdes new 6.4L

Yah... I've NEVER had a truck with "great" mileage... so I'm used to it... this one is probably the best iv had yet so I see it as being pretty decent for what the truck is... It's a lot to ask for when we start looking to manufacturers to provide us with 2500 and 3500 model HD trucks that weigh...

Can you run the 383 belt on the xm?

The belt will fit but you will incinerate it quickly as the 383 is the worst belt skidoo has produced in a while. Mountain applications usually entail high rpms at very low speeds which means excessive belt heat, for more belt info check out DJ's belt guide link below...

    Master cylinder reservoir

Tore mine off middle of the season as well... 1 little phillips screw and friction fit with an o-ring isn't much to speak of... Mine was pretty innocent but same deal, got wee bit close to a smaller tree, rode through it and little tree hit the bars slightly, coming out the other side noticed it...

Starting to average 17-18L in the city now, driving a little faster than i should have been to Revy this weekend with sled in box i was getting around 16.5L Passing makes me grin for several k after :P Fuel mileage has been steadily increasing since new, may see better numbers in the future.

    Dogdes new 6.4L

The 6.4 has been in the challenger and charger for a while so not really a "New" engine, pretty intense at 410hp and 429 ft-bs torque, it's no diesel but it's no slouch at all... Dealers can't keep them in stock while the diesels fill the lots. I tow and haul but I also commute daily to work...

    14 XM Maintenance

I like my DJ kit !!! but stock is pretty awesome as well... finally BRP clutched their mountain sled for mountains and didn't take MXZ clutching and shoved it into the mountain sleds... - Adjust drive chain tension when changing fluid - Adjust track tension and track alignment - I do really...

How's the forestry road coming in? with all that warm weather is it a skating rink? Headed out with a big group for family type slow ride this weekend. Anyone go backwards down the big hill yet this year? Will have some big enclosed trailers with us, hope they all have chains.

    Yamaha pw80

In terms of size of the bike they are pretty close... How old? how tall? Best thing you can do is hit a show room and get him to sit on a bunch, buying a bike that's too small or that will only last them a season isn't that great... Each brand has something great to offer; try and get them...

Looking For Advice from Novice / Expert Back Country Riders on Steep Downhills

I'm not new to dirt bikes but I am very new to back country riding on one. I am an avid snowmobiler in the winter and I usually ride track in the summer (but not very much "I'm ok"). I am riding a 2000 WR400F Just after the May long weekend I was out in koocanusa with some buddies and I...

what bike is best for my size?

Personally I really love 4 stroke torque and power at any rpm, it allows you to "lug" the motor and ride slower through terrain without having to have the motor screaming in the power band. If you have a chance i say ride a few different bikes, you will probably be very comfortable on a 450...
