I have been asked to post the link to the survey below regarding the future of snow biking. I'm not at liberty to say who's doing this survey or who asked me to do this so please don't ask. If you could take a few minutes to answer the questions that would be great, it's pretty quick and there...
Strictly based on the Snotel I'd say its gonna suck. I haven't been there in a few weeks but snowpack just keeps compressing. Its been very warm, I was going to head down this weekend but now I'm not going to bother.

I was out last week and the trail was just starting to melt out above Birch. I would expect you will be driving up but not as far as the Y just yet. Coverage is the best in years IMO.

Unfortunately I'm a bit of an expert on this topic as I've had my trailer outright stolen once and broken into another time for a total of 3 sleds stolen. Eventually the RCMP found 2 of the sleds with guys who they busted for drug offences. Neither of them were charged with possession of stolen...
Did anybody go up Graves today? Rained like hell all night down low, you could literally skate on our road, just wondering how icy the road up to Birch is?
thx M5
Really depends on what type of riding you are looking for. I was in there a few days ago and the trail was getting pounded. Primarily around upper whitefish lake it is trail riding good for families etc. there are some areas up Styker ridge you can play on but nothing big. Red meadow lake is up...
There is a layer of hoar frost at least an inch deep maybe more in the area so large heads up with the new snow on top, avy potential will be high for a while

As your son gets bigger you'll be amazed the places he'll put that sled. My son was a bit taller when he started on it some days he just flat out blew me away where he would go.

The trail was groomed Wednesday night, on Thursday morning I took my first face shot of the day a the 9K mark on the trail. By 12 k I was needing 10 lbs of boost to cut a fresh line on the trail. UNREAL.

If you are riding this weekend better bring the big iron Thursday was probably as much snow as I've ever seen on Owl's and I've ridden there a lot of days.
