Only spots I ever really watched was the launch area upstream in fort Sask, gravel bar opposite Devon launch and by Windermere Golf coarse. The rest is pretty visible water and almost your "standard" river running.

Have you installed the rear disc brakes on your 420 yet? Was thinking about the brake kit as well, just not sure how well it will work or how easy. Cheers

Sheet of plywood cut down with a 2 x 2 screwed on the ends will keep you from having to crawl under the deck all the time. I've also made the rear "foot" print of the deck bigger and thicker where it sits in the truck bed as this last weekend it crumpled one of the bed ridges coming off the ice...
