Have had mostly good service except when trying to buy a stereo for my ranger. Ordered it in the spring and when fall came and it still didn't come in I canceled the order and the same thing happened the next season. Never did get a stereo.

If I had my time back would have bought the Klimate suit.

I have the Valdez jacket and the togowette pants you really have to wear two good layers when riding in cold weather but mountain riding one layer I think would be fine, then again I am a little portly and break a sweat easily when I am riding hard. I also have the powercross gloves really nice...

The first thin I did was clean the carbs but maybe have to go through them again. Did the Ether test and found nothing. I don't think it is a verry reliable test thouh, I sprayed some ether right into the air box and nothing happened....Weird!! Will have to keep playing with it untill I figure...

I know this is low and I will be doing a rebuild. Still curious about what kind of symtoms an engine with low compression would give you.

Ya the hi-temp gasket sealer works just fine.

When you hammer the throttle open from a slow speed it gargles and sputters. and seems to run lean when runnin wide open. Have been playing with the carbs don't think they are the problem. I just checked them and both cylinders are at 100 psi

Does any one know what a 2004 700 polaris twin should have for compression? Or at what point will it start acting up?

Yes I hope they got that 800 figured out because that is one hot sled and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy one.
