So I replaced the stator and still no go. I believe I have a short to ground. I have narrowed it down to between the voltage regulator and the ecu. I'm going to look for a wiring diagram tonight.
Anyone know where I can find a wire diagram or schematic?
What was the problem with your sled. I seem to be having the same troubles. I replaced the nun and after sitting for a minth it won't start. No spark. Tach stuck at 1000. No lights when I pull it over. It had electric start but I removed the starter and wires. Not sure what to look at next.
Was that your first ride of the season? If so try to clean your Injectors.
I would also look into your reeds. I doubt that the creek would have anything to do with your problems.
It was a buy to fix and sell.
I just ordered a set of used Injectors for $200.
My understanding is they work fine with the engine running due to the constant voltage but they don't get the right voltage during start up.
Either way I just sold it.
Traded for cash and an 06 summit 800.
I will...
So here is what I found. I have a square ecu with circle Injectors p/n 1001-87650.
I believe that those Injectors are off of an 09. They are low impedance reading 0.3 ohms.
Could this be what's causing my problem?
It looks like the Injectors. I took the fuel rail off and held the Injectors in place while my wife pulled over the sled. After three pulse I only got one decent spray from one injector. Rechecked the electrical going to the Injectors and all is good.
I'm going to leave the Injectors soak over...
take a look at your voltage regulator. When my voltage regulator quit it stopped producing any power. For trouble shouting i disconnected it and fired up the sled. It instantly blew my headlight. cold be giving to much power to your fuel pump and flooding out your engine. my sled also ran...
I just got back from talking with a mechanic at the dealer and he told me to clean out my injectors. apparently he has had the exact same issues with new cats if they sit for a long time. this will be my next step. i'll keep everyone posted on what i find. if this doesn't fix the problem i'll be...
I believe the engines changed in 2010. The 2009 has a completely different engine. They don't share the same reeds or exhaust valves either. I believe they also changed the Injectors from low cap to high cap style. Hope this helps
Hope someone can help! I have a 2010 M8 that will only start by pouring fuel down the cylinder. Once it has started once it will start all day.
I checked the fuel pump - 42psi. Injectors are clicking with power applied and power is going to them. I have new plugs with good spark on all 4. My...
