Thanks for the compliment. I put in a 1.6 from a 89 Tracker and thinned out the wiring harness and put the fuel injection on it too. It has 5.13 gears and a 4 to 1 t-case, with the EFI it will climb anything it can stick to. We have a all Suzuki wheeling trip in May on the last weekend. We have had 4 so far, it gets better every year. I would like to try the VW swap for a daily driver, but I've been thinking of trying to fab up and adapter to use a 3.3 or 3.8 Chrysler V6 from a minivan, they are really narrow, light and have over 150HP. I have about 9 Suzukis in my yard right now, one of them is eventually getting a 350 Chevy and I will run it in te 100 foot shoot outs.
