my machine just had the same issue after getting soaked . pulled all connections and scrubbed with a wire brush and brake cleaner and blown out with air . repacked with die electric.. everything seems to be fine now. try that , it seemed to work for me . hope this helps !
warmed my sled up today , loaded it , got to the trail warmed it up , shut it off, went to unload and no nothing , no spark , no nothing. i did not put my cover on on the way out and it got soaked but started fine. have no idea what the problem is ..... any ideas would help !!!!
thinking about doing my top end . sled runs fine just a little preventitive maintenance . sled has 133- 135 lbs on each side . what is a good compression number ?
also any other things i should tend to ? sled is straight stock , except for boyesen reed boots and rad valves
any info is...
i had the same problem with mine . i ordered a set of rad valves and the problem is fixed forever , no more plastic. gave me more throttle response too !
RAD VALVE (PWC)
that rev seat looks great on your 02 , i have an 01 and was wondering how easy that seat bolts on , any mods to get it to work , and how much was it ?
thanks atley
i have a 2001 summit 800x and the rear suspension is starting to sag and i was wondering if anyone has replaced the shock with an aftermarket one , and what types there are out there . i went to the ski doo dealer in town and they want to sell me a whole new assembly
any thoughts ?
if you have a hole in your boot , i wouldn't even ride it untill you fix it 460 bucks for rad valves and then you eliminate this problem forever , or don't fix it and blow a motor and spend 5 times as much...
i got a 01 summit and had the same problem , took those out and put boyesen rad valves in 460 bucks when eveything was done but there will be no more leaking or melting so its worth it and you get more throttle response
