So, if you completely grenade a motor and the bill is say $10k, they are covering $5k and you are paying $5k. So, with the warranty cost, a guy with warranty pays $7.5k and a guy without warranty pays $10k.
That makes zero sense to add warranty.
On a serious note, considering how many people I hear buy extra warranty, anyone come out ahead after 3 or 4 years? I never buy extended warranty and I am wayyyy ahead of the game, but I guess I also don't ride 2000km per year either.

I wouldn't be worried about a motor swap. As long as its priced correctly for the km's, they run a long time. Lots of guys have 150,000km+ on them. US guys do lots of miles.
Correct. I didn't build it and we don't get cold temps. The reason i am sure is that there there is a 2 bedroom suite and a separate media room. Wayy to hard to regulate heat with that many zones.
