Good Morn. Any body know what the weight that a the steel wheel can carry on a 18 inch f350. Need new tires and want to match weight they can carry to the wheel. Thanks

Look at the gvwr tag on the bottom of the drivers door, or on the b-pillar. Find the max axle weight for the rear axle (rear is where the tires see the most load), should be something like 7500lbs. Now divide that number by 2, (3750lbs in this case), that is the minimum weight rating each tire needs to have.

I'm not a believer in the ply rating anymore, the weight rating of say a 10 ply tire can vary widely depending on the manufacturer, tire model, and tire size.

If it’s an OE Ford steel wheel with the little Ford logo stamped into the steel, it will carry more weight than any 18” tire made will support.
