Being unemployed and having lots of volunteer time on my hands. I work with multiple food banks and am a member of "LOOP".
There is NO shortage of food, many manufacturers of canned and dry goods still have an over abundance of stock from 2019 and have already made food that it's best before is 2023

what... maybe you are nice ;)

Sold a 19 Ford in November and broker paid me more than what I paid after 1.5 years of ownership..

Crazy times

Feed wheat prices are higher than the bestselling human consumption Terninals wheat price..

Markets are in turmoil

Yep, Ford amd chev trucks are going for premiums with brokers right now cause they are built in the US. Ram is not paying as good because of the 3 at the start of the vin. Built in Mexico.

There are only 3 resin manufacturers that supply pipe/fittings in the world, 1 in Texas seems it had a fire and is closed down hmnn, 1 in Korea and China just bought that 1, and 1 in China hmnn see how this is going. HW tanks are in short supply as well especially the 50's still quite a few 40's on hand and around but most RPL's take the 50's and bigger and the builders/plumbing Co, are trying to secure them. ABS pipe is out to lunch the main supplier in Etown has told all distributors they are on an allocation only and that is creating a frenzy amongst companys looking to stockpile but can't because they can only have 10% of what they want to make it fair amongst company's. But once it's gone it's gone and you cannot get anymore from the supplier until the following month and customers allready have back orders in from the previous month. As for these house builds well i am not sure who is buying these so called over 500k city homes but with the price of wood and no floor systems, pricing on pipe/wire, things might have to slow right down. U can pour all the foundations you want just not put any walls up or electrical or plumbing in for awhile. Hyperinflation at it's finest hour coming in like a freight train:(

Im in the process of ordering my ICF forms from Logix through local supplier, Im buying now due to huge price increase coming on the raw products to produce Styrofoam and plastics for a property I'm working on. Are some of the resigns for pipe and plastics manufactured at the old AT Plastics which is now Celanese Corp. Celanese Corporation - The Chemistry Inside Innovation in East Edmonton, or do they have issues keeping up. Time for someone in North America to expand, rather than buying this from china, we found out how good that works for other stuff during this covid event.

My 2018 Chev starts with a 3
I have been told if it started with a 1, it would have been gone by now. I've also heard that the Gov't's are looking at adding the 3 to be in the top dollar trade, but it hasn't happened yet

I know if i was building a house it would be either solid concrete or ICF for sure. talked with a guy framing a big shack north of the grove and the framing pkg for that a year ago was 27k now they just paid 96k for that pkg crazy. As far as i know talking with reps those are the only 3 suppliers of resin Co's in the world and China owns all as i mentioned except for that 1 in Texas. IPEX in Edm is the main supplier so they to have told all and put on allocation limitations to company's. 1 1\2 - 3 inch are so hot that supply has dwindled for many. No one i know buys from AT as i don't think they are in the game for residential applications.

The microchips for several auto manufactures are in short supply. GM, Ford, Toyota... Ford has alot of F150s made, just need those chips. My employer was going to replace 20 vans this year, put it off until 2022. Short supply.

The Kentucky Speedway is full of Ford trucks waiting on chips. Im in the market for a new truck to replace my 10 year old Dodge and was going to order a 2022 Ford but looks like the Dodge will have at least another year with me.

I'll be holding off a year longer as well I guess. This will be the longest I've kept a one ton. Not interested in paying retail plus and waiting for the opportunity to do it.

Ya the no incentives and MSRP pricing is keeping me away as well. I paid $67,000 out the door for my 2012 Ram 3500 limited, same truck now is $30,000+ more. Wife isn't to thrilled on the price of a 2022 F450, told her Ill keep it for 10 years just to make her a little bit less angry.

Don’t mind me asking what does a truck hauling logs for 12 hrs make a day?

As for comparison in ag a 2000$ gross day for a supper b truck/trailer is a decent day for that many hrs

a bit of a loaded question, depends on configuration, amount of axles, length of hauls, etc. If you have short hauls, say 4 or 5 trips a day to mill, you burn little fuel, if you have a long haul, 1 tripper, you burn more fuel therefor get a higher rate. In a 12 hour day you usually in the 2400 to 2800 range with all these factors.

you boys are getting shafted, probably why there were so many Kamloops - Okanagan trucks trying to get work around here in the winter. What are you, around $4.00 tonne hour?

This will be my first Ford, just trying to decide if I want the SRW F350 or the F450. Working overseas I don't put a ton of miles on in a year, and live out on a acreage so not worried about daily driving a dually. But also not sure I need it as my current Ram has hauled anything Ive ever needed. Guess the 450 does leave me with more options down the road. Decisions decisions.

Well nothing wrong with that then.. some of the best pay I have heard of other than machinery hauling
