Never herd anything about BJ, but the Grail, Samlon & Groundhog were awsom!
We were in 3-4 ft of powder. It was wet and heavy but still fun!
And don't let some of the locals fool ya. Holy Grail is not private! It's a bitch getting in but it's open to the world! Just ask any local!

I was talking to a person in the Glacier House Lodge , and she told me Foam was Close to the public , and if you wanted to ride there you have to be a member of the snowmobil club !! What a bunch of BS , the way I see it if it's Crown Land we all own it !! So we should be able to ride it !!:d:beer:

lol is there something going on that i am missing here. this is the first i have ever heard of this and it doesnt even make sense legally to me like mentioned above. unless someone is selling trail passes for a groomed trail i dont see this being true.

is this some internal poltics going on here or what.

I think it's more the powers that be wanting to try to keep numbers down in certain areas. Revy has some restrictions on some areas as well i believe.

Legally, I don't think that is possible, unless the only entrance must cross private land. Then you may possibly impose such a thing.

you guys in Blue should tell your peeps why this is true, we are trying to get the same thing here for our members in an area that does not have groomed trails. the club memberships are way cheaper than the fines will be next year.

I think you should have to be a club member to ride any areas that the clubs maintain.

If you don't know the whole story it would sound like BS.

The truth is that if it wasnt for the local club and its lobbying efforts these areas would be closed to everybody. The stewardship program is a way that the numbers can be controlled in areas that can't handle this pressure. Especially in a year like this where people are pushing farther than normal to find fresh.

$50 is a small price to pay if you would like to have continued access to these spots and others.

I agree. Without the hard work and efforts by the local clubs there would not be any areas for us to ride. The $50/yr membership is very reasonable and does not account for all their time spent throughout the year fighting to keep these areas open. Support the local clubs!

You're saying that, because it is a cariboo closure, riding is only allowed to a group that belongs to a club, limited numbers? What is the maximum group number allowed? If that is true, then end of all our problems, just sign up with your local club and ride where you want in your area. The rule should apply to all areas of B.C.
Let's not get out of hand and off topic, regarding the cariboo B.S....been there and dealt with it at all levels and amazing who are the supporters and donators to the "against" riding side. Some issues are quite legit, but the big name "rich" people involved are there for tax right-offs and glory of the spotlight in the public eye.One happens to be my neighbors brother in-law.
Anyway, if I can ride in a specific, prime area for $50...where do I pay up?

I agree the Caribou issue is BS. Isnt it ironic that all of the caribou areas on the map correspond with a certain heli ski operators favorite zones.

Not sure where the caribou eat on glaciers?

You can get more info from the Glacier Mountain Lodge, talk to Lexy or Bill. They also have the registration paper work.

Yeah, that's fine and dandy if you ride one place only.... I ride 7 different areas in a season... and some memberships aren't 50 bone.
