I’ve been hearing that the housing in the area are going nuts with the Pipeliners.
Prices going up, with the lack of availability and camp lodging.

Article in the local paper is indicating that Valemount is very busy with pipeline workers, 560 are in worker accommodated camps, currently 1400 workers are in the Valemount area with 70 local workers. So that's roughly 770 workers that are renting houses, hotels, B&B's locally and in the areas. Hope this lightens up a bit in the winter. And how does this affect the restaurants as well. Even people are commuting from as far as McBride.

Spoke to Canada's best Value Inn this morning. There rates are up roughly 35% for this upcoming season, They are booked about 85% for the pipeline, all rooms with kitchenettes are booked. He said he needs to think of the sledders here as that's has always been a big part of there business in the winter.

I have a buddy with a bare lot out there. Maybe he rent out to park enclosed trailers on.
You must have a building permit to build a house, not a garage in order to park one (1) only RV on the lot. And that is another fee of $650 per year max of 4 years. This is a recently amended bylaw due to the pipeline. I have started that process for permits now, takes a while though, need all the plans, engineers stamps, truss plans and stamps.

We're not all rich and famous like you Trev. Some of us only have enough fuel to get us to Valemount.
even that's gonna be tough now with the new price of fuel ... $1.41/litre and expected to go above $1.50 soon, and stay!!! F@cking Turdo and his climate change idealistic unrealistic goals!!
