Is it just me or are the UCP going sideways at best sitting on the fence. I’m thinking he’s not getting much done to turn alberta around. Granted he’s pissed off the left with all the so called health cuts but then for the average Joe he removes insurance premium caps and everyone is seeing double digit premium increases. Maybe I’m being impatient given how little he can do while the Turd is PM?

He did save the back country from Phillips I’ll give him that though....

He's trying hard. Thats all he can do unless he's like Singh and has pictures of the Turd with a female goat.

I have no respect for Kenney, he was just the lesser of 2 evils the other being Notley. Brian Jean was my choice.

That being said the healthcare cuts have to come, Alberta has the most expensive healthcare in Canada, along with some of the longest wait times. Throwing money at the problem like Notley did clearly wasn't the answer. There needs to be a major shakeup in the system, managers need to be skidded and the supervisory structure reorganized. The unfortunate thing with this is some good doctors and nurses will leave Alberta in search of work elsewhere, and we'll be left with the entitled union touting bunch.

The other thing that irks me is the 3 year property tax exemption on new oil and gas development, lets give the largest corporations in the world a tax break on the backs of municipalities and their ratepayers.

I really wish we could find some kind of political middle ground. I've pretty much lost all hope that any political party in Canada is in it for the greater good of the entire population.

With the money the high end managers are making we should be the envy of Canadian health care. Bunch of fat cats putting in time and planning vacations. I have a cousin who is a nurse in a average sized rural hospital. She works the Maternity ward and said they have 7 managers on the floor. 1 for every 3 nurses.

All insurance went up double digits....... commercial insurance harder one to take as work is sparse..... no park options with the outfit I’m with so that also hurts.
but don’t worry they will model the Ontario insurance scheme and we will all hurt hard.... and get nothing but bigger bills.

got a teen in the waiting for his license in the spring and I’m told I have no options but put him on all my vehicles no exceptions . Wasn’t planning on that .... I’m sure it will cost me thousands extra.

need a better ombudsman for the people.

The best thing you can do is get him a beater vehicle with his own insurance. Keep any possible incidents off your record.

He’s trying to make things right. The NDP hired so many government workers helped increased union jobs so much that we were going backwards. Now they will piss off a lot of people to get this on track. Mostly union workers, and the NDP is big with them. So the left media will side with the unions, NPD, Nothead, and constantly smear the UCP. The insurance changes will be for the better, the NDP put a cap on insurance and as everyone thinks there raking in money there not. Alberta is an expensive province for loss ratio’s on auto claims. And the NDP capped this for a while now the insurers are tying to even out. Don’t listen to the left media they make everyone on the right look bad

Guys in our rural area were buying their kids brand new pickups on their 16th birthdays and the kids were paying through the nose for insurance. My insurance agent told me buy your kid a beater. Pay less insurance with no collision. Disposable car if he wrecks it. Saved a lot of money and he learned some self worth.

It's ridiculous, it's amazing how public service employees think money grows on trees, the education system isn't much different either. Kind of like the ER wing of our new hospital that was done twice due to a design change, then the NDP burned Graham Construction at the stake for cost overruns...

I read somewhere this past week that Notley hired 10,000 government workers in her tenure. Thats crazy. Its no wonder the unions are pizzed. Look at all those union dues going away.

Yeah I second that, you absolutely do not want your kids on your policy.

My uncle just about lost the farm when one of his boys got in an accident.

I was think the other day what life would have been like if Rachel would have been steering the ship through all this.

Covid, further economic collapse, getting sodomized by the feds.

I have a problem believing that insurance costs are going up that much. The NDP capped rate increases at 5% a year, that's a 21.5% increase over 4 years, which is what, 3 times the rate of inflation over the same period?

"The Illusion of Alberta’s Job Recovery: Government vs. Private Sector Employment report, released Thursday morning, indicates that the private sector shed 46, 267 jobs between May of 2014 and July of 2018. The loss was offset by the creation of 78,733 new government jobs in Alberta at the municipal, provincial or federal level during the same time frame."

We are in one hell of a mess in Alberta and Canada financially and no matter which government is in power there will be a lot of upset people. We do need to curb this spending on both fronts. The UCP is trying to do changes here and will get a lot of backlash. The Federal government, well currently that's a complete joke, spend spend all your grandchildren's money. Not sure if the country will ever get out of debt.
