Hey guy's, my permit will be coming up for renewal soon. In the past i have done it the old way via paper and mail.
I see the government has now set up a web site to do it on line.
Has anyone here done it that way and did you feel confident with the online security being offered especially the log in partnership they have with other institution's and not sharing personal info.

Partnership log in is the same as the one they use for anything regarding CRA, I have used it for years, no problems.

Apply at least 3 months prior as well.

This is an excellent idea.
I did mine with only 3 weeks left about 4 months ago.
Luckily they accepted my selfie and i had the new FAC Restricted in about 2 weeks.....super fast.

you better get on it. there seems to be a hold up on getting the new cards once approved. Some BS excuse that there printer is broken. My nephew has been waiting for his new card for 3 months now.

Send in proof of a range membership if you have anything restricted to.

Are you all going to turn your guns over once they ban them here?

I'm not turning mine in. They are gonna have to come and get them. They may have to carry my 650lb safe out as well as I keep forgetting the combination.

I got an E-mail reminder about a month ago. I clicked onto their e-mail site given and it took me there. They asked for confirmation info, a few minor question's and an electronic picture of myself that my wife took, by their spec. BANG done, took about 15min.
Basically your previous info. pops up they ask if anything changed, yes/no and update. You click the proper boxes on a few question's, if you have a spouse or common law live in partner they ask for their info. and they also require to sign and check an agreement box, then pay.
They don't ask for anything else, if your previous permit was unrestricted it will show as so and if it was restricted/prohibited it will show as so.
Any changes to the permit will require further steps, some via paper mail, otherwise a straight renewal is simple bing bang boom.
