Just under 10 cm on the trail up today. The zones we rode on last Saturday were pristine untracked today. A beauty of a day!

A great blue bird day with a good hint of spring in the air. Lots of riders over the last two days but there is still untracked out there if you get off the beaten path. Fresh groom last night and another one tonight for Easter Sunday makes for an awesome ride up.Can't say enough about the grooming this year!!

Just a heads up...some of the slopes are touchy as well as the cornices.

First photo is from March 29 and it is a natural cornice drop on the NE side of the Matheson ridge facing the Rolling Hills cabin area.

Second and Third photos are from March 31 and it is to the immediate right side of the pipeline at the top of the Notch. Looks like this was caused as the sleds went over the convex roll at the top of the climb. When we arrived it looked real fresh so we did a transceiver search of the debris pile...happy to say there were no signals.

Went exploring today as there was a lot of traffic up on Friday and Saturday and a reload is in urgent need. Checked out the cut blocks in the McEvoy and went all the way over to the historic Barnes farm. Found an isolated trappers cabin that is close to being buried with the snow. A great way to spend a poor visibility day.

on Friday we were to the right of the notch and was amazed to see guys high marking under cornices. lots of tracks showing how high some guys went. Maybe is us being too aware but we thought holly crap not a chance we were going to pound those slide area's.
No footprints...that's from snow rolling down.

It doesn't look like it in the photo but the fracture depth was probably 2 feet or so.

I only have information of the Coal Creek staging area. Park lot is still snow covered with some water holes as of Sunday afternoon. If you don't like it or want to chance it (4x4 recommended), you can turn around and park on the road. Darn good shape for this time of year. There was no dirt showing on the trail on Sunday when we came back and was snow covered to the top. Three 4 places were parked in there on Sunday.
