Here's a thread of my buggy build....It's not really a UTV, but it is side by side seating....Don't hesitate to move the thread to a more appropriate locale....

So, started out with a donated Chinese scrap piece of sh*t dune buggy, tossed the motor and swing arm...Was going to go with a spare 2005 GSX-R600 motor, but the shitty frame wouldn't handle it....So, I bought me a 1998 Poolaris scrambler 400, to chop up.

Yup, sure will, as soon as some more progress is made! Gotta figure out how to get the throttle, and shifter hooked up, as the cart basically bends in 2 where the swingarm/cab meet...

Got the shocks mounted, so she's standing on her own legs again, i'll have to adjust the springs a bit when 2 people get in, or there'll be bottoming out issues, but it's coming together!

Well, made a pile of progress, but in a pic it doesn't look much different than the last one posted. Battery is mounted, rev control box has been scrapped, have the coil and CDI unit mounted and wired, coolant bottle is installed, both shocks are in...it actually runs again too! Going to hopefully finish the wiring and scab some heater hose for rad lines, and make it run for a bit....I kinda left it over summer, had boating and camping and beer to deal with....and since I don't have anyone to quad with right now, I guess I'll put some effort back into this!!

Well it goes! And it goes awesome!!!! can blow the tires off from roll or stand still! Cooling works good, installed a temp light, still don't have an electric fan though...
Next onto the front suspension, so it can keep up with the rear!!!!

Annnnd Rolled it. Whoops. Blew the passenger side tires off the bead, had a casual flop onto the pass side, battery melted on the expansion pipe, had one out of poolaris sled, tossed it in, installed the forgotten battery strap, aired up the tires and off we went again!

so i did some more to the old gal, bought it a new battery, installed some old polaris wedge shocks in her, but they are too soft as well....is there a nitrogen or air shock that ever was made for the wedge that i could dial up the pressure, or an adjustable spring rate? I grabbed the coil overs from a 95 XLT Polaris...

and i guess i liked bringing a friend out 4x4ing...i'm trying to swap my King Quad and my 02 Summit 800 for a SxS!
