I tore my track today and need a 162x 3" track for my 2017 M8000 LTD.

Any suggestions on a suitable replacement for the Power Claw? Or just stick with the Power Claw.

Anyone know of any deals?

At the edge of a cut-block a sharp 2" diameter stump went trough a track port and sheared off one of the bolts on the back cross bar support...track derailed. Tie wired the ripped section of track...remounted the track and rode gently for another 50 Km.

This particular area, West of Marten Ridge in Fernie, had the least amount of snow I have seen all winter long. The area has been logged extensively and we were checking to see if the logging would provide access to new areas. We used to probe 3 to 4 meters in this general area when it was fully forested...yesterday the base was between 50 to 75 cm. Sad.

Composit M770. Had one installed in our group replacing the stock Polaris 3". Works good, but too soon to tell on long term durability. They are way cheaper than the Camso tracks.

I'm running the Camso X3.2 on my T-Pro, I like it. Personally I think it's much better all around than the Polaris 2.4" track I pulled off of it, as long as you don't need a 60mph trail track lol.

I have a brand new 165 3” 3.5” pitch cut to 15” forsale. You would need to change drivers to make it work on your 17. You could use Alpha drivers just space them.

Stick to the PC, it works best with that sled. An extreme is too stiff and you will have a sled that likes to trench, that 800 just doesn't have enough torque to make the extreme work effectively.
The PC is softer and the advantage is the lugs will pack the snow as it pulls into it creating the lift without making a big trench. The extreme's are better suited for bigger HP sleds like turbo's or the higher torque motors like the new 850's. While a PC is a little too soft for that type of sled. IMO

Anyone have a 162x2.6" power-claw leftover from a 3" track swap? Maybe I'll go to 2.6"

If it would only snow a bunch we wouldn't have this problem . I can't imagine the number of tracks that have been toasted in fernie this year.

Yes...In a normal year there is no way I would have ripped a track in the middle of February...we need snow.

Talked with Vee at Ghostrider...no Power Claws for a while and they are crazy expensive. He could probably get a challenger within a week. Same story at All Season in Cranbrook.

Right now I have a line on a used 2.6 Power Claw...decent price. Will wait and see how that goes.

Check eBay too. Allwestpowerdports and bgpowersports are awesome to deal with and in Alberta I know they had a lot of cat parts

Solved my problem...I found a used 163x3" track with only 200 Km on it.

It was attached to a bright green Mountain Cat that also had 200 Km on it.

My old sled...is being parted out.

2017 M8000 LTD (Black)...no track..no snow flap...everything else is available right now.

Yes we need a reload...although we did find some decent snow in two completely different areas. Already doubled the mileage...70 Km on Saturday and 130 Km on Sunday.
