Anyone install the Iceage Bomber rails on a 2019 twin rail 162 Cat?

Bought a set. And the end caps dont fit.
Neither the ones that came in the kit or my stock ones.
The rails are wider than the slot in the end caps.

Anyone run into this?

I called Iceage they had me email pictures.
Just wondering if anyone has had to grind the rail a bit to make the end caps fit.

If I use my stock caps I have to grind 0.100 + thou from each side.
If I use the provided caps, I'll have to grind close to 0.100" per side and drill the holes bigger to allow for the anti stab kit.

I was under the impression these are plug and play.

Yes that is correct, use the provided caps, you will need to modify the holes for the bolts that support the anti-stab shaft. The end cap are the same and used in both Bomber and non Bomber version. The bomber version will also require the cap cut out to be widen.
Unless your doing drops, Ice-Age non Bomber is our recommendation, they are much stronger then OEM and a lot lighter then the Bombers.
Ice-Age rails are Polaris styling and your Cat end caps won't work and require Polaris sliders when you need to replace them.

Well that was a Royal pain in the @$$.

Would have tought a rail kit for a specific sled would be kitted with all the right parts.

I did what I really didn't want to do. I took a file and a carbide burr to my new iceage rails to make stuff work.

Had to grind the rails from 0.940" to 0.775" at the tips to use my cat caps. (The supplied caps, the hole didn't line up, guess I needed to drill off set for the anti stab buildings).
Then the front idler wheels the bracket didn't fit over the rail. Needed to grind the rail rib 0.120" in and 0.060" down to get the holes to line up.
The bumpers IceAge suppiled didn't even fit.

But all B!+(#ing aside. Shes back together and installed.

Out of all the hardware iceage suppiled I used 2 screws. 2 nuts, 2 bolts, 4 washers and two of 4 rubber bumbers.

See how these things last.

Even managed to sell my old OEM rails.

I do believe Ice Age says stock idlers will not fit their rails because the rails are beefier. The recommended grinding the idler wheel holder or purchase their idler wheel holder.

Yeah I ran into some of the same issues putting the bomber rails on my sidewinder, I opted for their anti stab kit over the cat one, they sent me a few different rail tips that didnt work, ended up grinding down the rail tip, looks scetchy but it works. I used the rubbers from the yamacat rails and put them on the bombers, kept the stock rear idler tension bolts although they dont fit that great, they do work.

Was kinda disappointed in the fitment of the small stuff for sure. And grinding off the tips of the rails was gay. When I ordered the rails they gave me the heads up that the bogey wheels on the side of the rail were going to need to be trimmed to fit on the bomber rail....

I will give them credit though, you phone them and they have answers or ideas.

Sorry for pointing that out. It’s a pain when **** don’t fit.

Ha ha. No worries. When I first read it, I thought it was for the adjustment blocks at the rear idler.

But I was frustrated trying to make everything fit. In my mind this being a kit should be pretty simple. And the parts that came with it should fit, like the rubber bumpers. Little things. Even the take up pusher bolts, the ones in the kit don't fit in the adjustment blocks. I was never a fan of the stock cat pusher bolts. Oh well.
Going to put some doo scratchers on tomorrow and try it out.

My thoughts exactly, for what they cost, it shouldnt be that much of a kunt to get it to work. So far I have been happy with them, but only a couple rides on them.
