Have been trying to fix my kids Kitty cat. Bogs when you hit the gas. I have pulled the carb apart several times and cleaned jet etc. Can't seem to correct it. 100 psi compression, replaced fuel line to carb. Read some posts on forums that talk about adjusting float height, changing jets, etc. Would like to know the root cause and not just throw parts at it.
Anyone else run into this with the little 60cc engine? How would you tell if the clutch is causing the issue?

Could also try a new spark plug and make sure you didn't mix the gas to rich.

Floats easy to adjust. With the bowl off and the carb upside down you want the float to sit level. It sounds like a jet is plugged you may have cleaned it but the tank might be full of ****.try putting a cheap inline filter on it.

I was gonna say look at the clutch. Does it idle fine and then bog when you hit the throttle? Not sure how you would check the clutch on this one. My boy had the little ZL120 when he was 4 and the clutch was a centripical setup like a chainsaw with a chain so it was easy to check. If it does have a chain to drive it then remove the chain and run it to see if the bog goes away. Might also want to look at the brakes to see if they are seized. Hope this helps.

Like cat man says #9 in the diagram. Check it, it is very small and can plug very easily. I 2nd the fuel filter too.

All good info. I will disassemble the carb again and focus on #9 and #16. I found the maintenance manual online for it for setting the carb so I can make sure it isn't out to lunch as well. I pulled out the carriage to make sure it wasn't bearings seizing up as well. I mixed the gas @ 50:1 like it calls for. Shell gold.
Doesn't bog with the chain off but that would make sense as their is no load on the engine without being coupled to the track.
I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the advice. Gotta be something simple I missed.

Run the track as loose as possible. They have extrovert drivers so they have plenty of grip to drive the track. Another place where the initial drag will big down the motor.
