Polaris 120

Have an 07 Polaris 120.
When it runs, it is an awesome little machine for my kids.

However I don't know what the issue is, is so finnicky. It take forever some days to get that girl running. Idles hard, then boom, like it hits its groove, and runs like a beauty. But until that point, it is killing me trying to start this pig.

Any ideas on what i should even be looking at/for?

i had the same prob with my xc 120 i would pull and pull till iam blue in the face then i went and put the big boy speed kit on it from Recreational Motorsports wow first pull every time and now it does 35km/hr the best money i have every spent and makes my boy happy :d the kit comes with a jet kit with a dial that u can lean or richen the sled on the fly

damnnit, that's what i just had installed, was the big boy kit.
however was no jetting changes.
I feel like a toolbox considering my bog boy rmk's fire up one pull. and that little bastard 120 is killing me.

if your clutches ever go on your 120. princess auto sell a comet clutch that fits the 120's there. there less then half the price of the dealer and work and last way longer to.

Hey gotboost, I just put in a new race engine in son's z120 and it has a dial a jet and was woundering if I spin in jet does it lean it out or make it richer. I know when I dial in starts to rev up and track starts to spin. So what do you thing. Thanks

iam thinking when u turn the dial in it leans it out so what kind of motor u put in :d my little 120 rocks did u put the rear shock in

i do have a race engine for my 120 i might put in its a clemmins race motor 14 hp runs alcohol its my spare motor out of my jr dragster that would make it fly hahahahah :d here is a pic of that rear shock in an arctic cat and u can buy fox floats for the front end too

Did you go with that shock, the race engine is from the christian race brothers and it runs on 50/50 mix race fuel. Twice the hp they said.
