I just added a Gnarly pipe and shorty muffler to my bike with 30 hours on it.

The factory jetting was actually pretty good and I was hoping to get a round about idea of where to start?

It seems like it's only my mid that's out the bike will sputter cruising half throttle.

What jetting is in it currently? I have a Gnarly / TC2 pipe on my '16 YZ250X with 170 main 45 pilot and still rich and spoogy. Might go down another jet size on each. I have heard the Gnarly needs leaner jetting than the stocker.

According to the manual

Main is 178
Pilot is 50
Needle clip 2

Have you adjusted your needle? Or did a chop test?

I have my air screw 2.5 turns out... According to one jetting right up I've read I need a smaller pilot.

A 45 Pilot was my guess after testing... I was also thinking if the throttle response was choppy or rough to raise the clip position. (That's what I've been told) (rough or choppy raise clip, bogs and delay to lower)

I did move the needle to the leanest clip position #1, the bike got really nice snappy throttle response off idle and into the midrange so I know it needs leaner still.

Good to hear... local dealers here had no gets in stock at all... I unscrewed my air screw 1.5 turns and it's getting better.

I'm use to sleds when you add a better pipe i usually need to richen main jet. But sleds also have temperature compensation
