Hhmmmm. You mention upgrading the turbo from a 180 to more boost in the future. I would recommend you look at the costs associated with going from the 190 to the 240/270. It will be cheaper to just start with the higher boost and be done with it. I'd probably recommend the 240 to start with. That will put you on similar footing with other boosted sleds (boondocker 2t pros/xm and so on). I find that the MCX 190 is pretty much comprable with the new 800s that are out now. Generally speaking, the 180/190 turbo equals you out with the new 800s from a horsepower to weight ratio, not withstanding you get the benefit of 4t torque!!!
To upgrade later, which is exactly what I am looking at now is going to cost an additional $4000+, which seems kind of wasteful, knowing what I know after riding the 180 MCX for the past 3 seasons. I say, go for the bigger boost!!!!!
Very good point and thank you!!! You now have me thinking and leaning towards getting a 240hp... I take it you are upgrading to a 240hp mcxpress kit?
Does anyone have opinons or thoughts on which turbo kit is better between a mcxpress 240/270 or mpi 240/270?

yep. mcx is solid and the preference with the boys i ride with. I'm going 270.
