Sidewinder crank stub shaft

Tough to tell but I have a gap prob 40 thou that looks like the bearing isn’t seated against the housing on this stub shaft. Can anybody tell me if it should be pressed in more?

Also on the backside of primary has contacted the 4 bolts that hold the stub onto the crankcase. This may be why I’m fighting alignment issues and had to machine so much off the secondary.

I just looked at mine and same issue, I pulled the stub shaft out, pressed the bearing out and re-installed it with bearing retaining compound and its now flush with the housing (how it should be) My gap was similar to yours but my primary didn’t contact the bolts on the backside. I checked my belt alignment with the hurricane tool and sure enough it was showing I needed to machine the backside on the secondary, after fixing the bearing in the stub shaft I’m now bang on for alignment and didn’t touch the secondary.

Also my sled is a belt blower, hopefully after this fix, new apex primary clutch, new springs and new rollers in the primary and secondary I can hold it to the bar without snapping a belt in half.
