Hey guys, I picked up a mint 2017 sidewinder mtx, its been cold and Ive been doing a lot of reading on here, the guy I bought it off said it was banging off the rev limiter once in awhile and probably needed a bit more weight in it. It currently has the evo stage 4 flash, cr intake, cr straight pipe, and dalton QAY 62g cam arms, Im not sure about the primary and secondary springs, I can look when I get home. Anyway after reading tons of posts from a lot of guys on here Im still not really sure what weight they are running and what rpm I should be looking to hit on this tune? 9000? Any info would be appreciated, I will be heading out the 24th for my first ride on it, pretty pumped! cheers

I have an Evo stage 4 as well and 9000 RPM is where I set my clutching for. Been working great for me.

Ya that's what I figured, I will have to get it out and see how she does, hoping to get some good track speed numbers

Still running the stock belt 8JP? Aftermarket or the 8DN can mess with the clutching if it set up for the stock 8JP. Catman 10 has a 2017 SW, 174 though and is pretty knowledgable on the clutching set up on the sidewinder. I am not sure what tune he is running. Pm him, he may be able to help you out.

Im running the Ultimax XS825. Got it by default as a spare and its ended up holding up great. I did have to reshim my secondary though, so I'll have to look and see if it effected my max RPM.
