Is anyone running without a snowflap? If so are you having any overheating issues on the trail up? Im pretty sure the boys will want me at the back of the pack on the trail up lol, but im not a fan of the big bulky snowflap and havent seen any aftermarket options really.

Thanks.

I took mine off and haven’t had any issues at all. Few really icy trails last year . I always drop off the side a little bit into deeper stuff now and then to . But I did cut my yamaha logo off the bottom of the flap and rivet it to the top as you can see, but doubt that does anything for cooling.

Ok right on I figured, my buddy has a viper with no flap and no issues. Looks good with the logo cut out I might copy you !

Yeah and i kmow a few other sidewinder riders that don’t have flaps either! Just make sure you always put scrathers down unless you got fresh snow on the trail lol. Cheers

Heat exchanger is at the front of the tunnel so just put your scratchers down and there shouldn't be an issue. For you anyway, people behind you might not be a big fan...

Nytro snowflap on a viper. Quite a bit shorter then some of the newer longer snowflaps.

No flap, no problem. I throw the scratchers down rate away and I always bounce around the edge of the trail any ways. Never had issue.
