Im ready to install a mcx stage 3 kit this week. I am looking for some clutching advice or a starting point. The kit came with new weights but the look to be to heavy 93 grams each. I have a few things done to the sled now just want more power. 174 camo extreme, racers edge rear skid, cr racing running boards, suspension mounts and tunnel extension.

Clutching will depend on what boost level you want to run. Im a pump fuel guy running 18lbs or so at 2000 Meters. Have a decent set up I think. I know Erik was on the dyno to 25psi without issue. Keep me posted on what your direction is.
Safe sledding.

How high of an elevation can a guy run 25psi at?

Id seriously try those MCX weights. As long as you are sticking with the 35 degree helix the sled came with . You may try to lighten them up once you test it out. I run a 39 straight cut on 80 grams. If I was at 35 Im sure it would pull a lot more weight. I use a longer secondary spring as well. The EPI purple we have been using since Nytro days. Wind it in the 1-0 range as the Cat coil is different timing that the Yamaha version. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Congrats.

Dunno.…...im a pump fuel guy. I know a guy in Montana running his at 22 around 9000'. Hes on 110 fuel.
Crazy how these motors handle boost. Afterall they are completely built motors with all forged internals. No need to send them for rod or piston treatment.
Happy boosting.

Wow.
And that's with the turbo that comes with the MCX stage 3 kit?

Or what did he have to do to achieve that?

I am curious to see one of these in action. Running stock skids? Still have the throttle response and bottom end of a stock/flashed winder? I loved my mcx nytro and miss that true 270hp.

25psi in revy runs nice and crisp

25psi, that translate to about 310hp, give or take a few.
With an oversize cooler, 6 injectors, some fancy electronics to trick out the ecu and a larger turbo that 998 will spin that with no problems, well that's the rumor.
Now you just need to figure out what kind of lead you need to spin in it.

I had some clutch roller issues going on that I didn’t realize when running at that . I have changed some stuff and haven’t had a chance to test. Will post up when I have the results I want
Yes definitely wanna see some 25psi videos!
