I bet that stock turbo is at least 5k as it is a Yamaha part.

Should be able to sell it for $2500 CAD.

No sure what a ECM is worth.
It lists for around $2200 CAD on the Cat website.
And bout $2000 CAD from yamaha parts nation stateside.

I didn't think they would be much more than that. Not all that big of a turbo.

If you want to add another 900 bucks to mcx kit you can get it so you can adjust boost from your phone. I’m contemplating this as my ns1 gauge runs on android operating system so would let me do it from the dash. Not sure if anyone has put on a Manual boost controller yet.

Not sure... but I’m doing the MCX Stage 3 done with these tunes.

Tunes got popular because of the price you paid, back in the day of the Cat 1100 turbo there were speed shops making exaggerated claims with tunes and dudes fell for it.
To make big power you still need more fuel and big turbo's with inner coolers and not just a tune alone.
It was nice cause guys on Cats 1100 with these tunes claiming 250hp would get punished all day long by lower HP Nytro's with actual kits and not a tune.
Thing is, most of these Cats never actually made their claim power, how could they on a tune only with out the aid of extra injectors and big turbo's.

Size matters. I couldn’t imagine trying at 25 pounds boost. At 18 its almost more than I can handle.

I can't either, had my Nytro a couple of times cranked up to 18lbs and once at 20lbs and unless it was extra deep the sled was a little unmanageable to have fun with.
90% of the time it was set at 12-14lbs and occasionally take it to 16lbs.
I do a lot less climbing and virtually no chute climbs anymore but spend most of the time roaming through the trees or getting far back into the alpine and back country, so lower boost works best for me in keeping the sled manageable. Them big boost sleds tend too come on too strong when your traversing in the deep through trees and trying to maneuver in a tight squeeze.

Turbo efficiency is very important, on one of my sleds I upsized the turbo and created the same amount of HP with 8lbs less boost. Cool, efficient boost makes a huge difference.


I want to try a Winder running 25lbs..........

How are intake temps with those boost levels? I would think that a water to air I/C would be really beneficial over 15 psi on that turbo... Also how are belts holding up? I am looking at getting a stage 3 MCX kit too and happy to see a couple others that have done it.
