Hmm stage 4 winder can't pull 60mph?

But Lund can get 70 mph on a stock tune?

Why don’t people go out and ride and offer to meet Lund and try a new approach to this debacle. I know for fact I’m running 67ish on my Hurricane 270.... I’m in Revy every 2nd weekend and will be meeting Lund sometime I hope... not to prove right or wrong but to learn chit & have fun. Oh ya I had EVO but they suck a bag of dicks leaving people hanging and not coming thru with promise and piss poor customer service. Now that’s my opinion.. not typical I bad mouth but they did it to themselves.

Revy, Sicamous are both near by for me, just shoot me a PM, i'm sure we can make it happen at one point or another during the season.
Now i have my tune going in this season, so will no longer be on the stock tune. Maybe i should just leave the stock tune to prove a point LOL.

Too bad the tuning wasn’t adjustable back to stock ?

It is you can get bundle package from HURRICANE & PEFI.. you just have to ask for 1 stage to be stock. You just toggle thru you’re Cluster and pick for example Stock, 220, 250, 270, 280 or 290. The 290+ tunes require fuel pump upgrade with return (290 is below 5k at this time)

My initial experience with Evo was the exact opposite my initial hardware didn’t work so they overnighted one to Revy for me then owner answered phone at 10pm so that I could flash tune in sled trailer after they unlocked it. The only thing with them was after stage 4 pump was created they pretty much stopped tuning and promised more. Something also happened with there mechanic/rider tuner who was really good with customer service I don’t think he’s with them anymore.

My apologies if I upset anyone with EVO Tune... I think the products are top notch just how they went about dropping sled tunes and what I was promised. I only deleted and changed to Hurricane for honesty and progression.. yup I flushed $600 bucks down the drain on my own accord.

XMRider163 his SW with EVO does haul the mail.. the Tune works!’

skegpro, i can not get close to 70mph, the average last season was low 60's. 63-64mph on most climbs. On one or two occasion i saw a little more like 67mph on one climb and it could had been the right condition for it but not the norm, even though it was nearly 2ft deep from what i recall. This is why i claim 60++mph because that is what it is.
The point i try to make considering track speed with the SW is more that if your riding a SW with no tune, the consensus is 55-60mph track speed in complete stock form from the dealer is what i'm hearing from others.
The SW has plenty of wiggle room to improve on that tuning to push it over 60mph, how much over, well that depends and that is the point.
With mine i've manage to pull pretty regularly 63-64mph and maintain descent belt life and i'm not the only one, i believe EZ-smoke (Erik) is seeing similar number's from his SW, with a similar set up as my SW.

I don’t doubt Lund was able to achieve 64MPH not one bit as YES, I was seeing consistent 60+MPH on my winder, 62MPH to be exact on ideal snow conditions, in a good wide open full pull it would just keep picking up speed and then top out at 62MPH and hold there 60-61MPH on the stupid deep days, but never under 60MPH I was running a stock tune, CR straight pipe, and CR custom Intake, a few lightweight goodies and CLUTCHING.

As Lund said he geared his up, which I will also attest to I was out of gears, there was a bit more left on the table for sure. I do strongly agree with Lunds previous post you guys running these big tunes should be gearing up before even attempting any clutching. I always wanted to take a BTX, stuff a 174” on it and throw a 270 tune and try those gears out as they are considerably higher then the MTX gearing and then go from there.

This is incorrect info. If you were out of gear, the track speed would have been 85mph in full overdrive.
What is happening is that the clutches can only pull 60mph. There's 25mph missing in their somewhere that can be recovered and used.
To gain speed, lower gear or add more than 25% horsepower.

All sounds good to me the more we can learn from each other the better. My logs again were on an extremely deep day. It didnt matter if i was on the lake with zero tracks or hill with zero tracks. Low 60s with evo stage 4, CAI, straight pipe, orange spring in secondary, 65-66 gram in primary. If I were to poach tracks or in more set up snow the numbers were up a bit but not tons. 800km on the sled, at the time, clutches/rollers were perfect, track was not cranked down.

A bit off topic but looking for recommendations for the 2018 qs3 air pressures and settings on the shocks, I'm around 170 lbs without gear

I run 65-70psi front shocks setting #2 for trail and setting #1 for alpine

80 psi front skid shock setting #2

Climbing I max rear shock set it on Lockout

General riding 160psi setting #2

Go up or down in 5psi increments. Find what you like and just maintain the pressure.
