I still have the option to go with whatever track I best. what do you suggest in a 174? why not the 3.2? lugs to soft?

The 3.2 fold under higher HP, Track speed, torque. Many prefer the 3. Sorry not telling you it’s just a mere suggestion.

174 x 2.5 is my favourite unless your riding deep all the time.
High track speed and big lugs don’t make happy . Lol

The 2.5 is a great track and remains one of my fav. The 2.6 and the 2.8 are IMO the best track out there. Both better then the 3".

I never have experienced the muffpot delicacy’s on any sled I ever owned. Lol.

Sitting at 7000+' on a blue bird day looking out over the ever expanding mountain ranges with a nice drink in hand and some of the best hot snacks one can conjure up is just about priceless. It is the best of many worlds, IMHO!

Factory tune.
Just make some fine clutching adjustments and nothing else.
Why mess with something that works so well, i'm very impress with this powerplant. Anyone who claims the SW and Viper are the same is out to lunch, they may share similarities in the chassi and suspension but the SW is light years ahead when it comes to its engine. No comparison in the 1049 vs 998, Yamaha went over and above with this one.
I rode with other turbo'ed Yamaha's last season, Vipers, Nytro and Apex. All with more claimed HP, yet none could run with the Winder that had the least hp. Yamaha has tuned the Winder to make power/torque where its NEEDED with the best throttle response and power curve i have ever experienced.
The aftermarket guy's(turbo's) just cannot compete with Yamaha's overwhelming engineering.
Its been my experience from last season guys with power up tunes are struggling to make 60mph track speeds and yet have not heard or seen anyone hit the 70mph mark on a 250 kit.
As it sits mine averages 62-63mph all day long any day in any snow i have put it in and have rode in. So if a guy with a powerup 250 tune get's his to 65+MPH, no worries, i'll be nipping at his arse with my stock tune.

BTW, its my understanding that even Climax is struggling with the clutch tuning for his MCX, just not getting the power out there.

Maybe later, if i get bored.

Love the design however one would think it wouldn't radiate that much heat .

Climax had the proto on his Winder and said it will heat your food but not cook it. I will find out personally as i'm installing one.

One of the changes i'm doing is installing a Shockwave, this will allow for more/better tuning at the clutch, i also have a new ratio.
My goal is to have this sled consistent at 65mph with the current stock tune. So i need to pull another 2-3 more mph to get that.
